FIG, VANILLA BEAN + GIN COCKTAIL #drinks #vodka

FIG, VANILLA BEAN + GIN COCKTAIL #drinks #vodka

Today I attempted to complete clothing, and keeping in mind that I collapsed clean clothing, my children chose the remainder of the perfect garments expected to get stuffed down the clothing chute (coincidentally, for what reason don't all houses have clothing chutes any longer? Best thought EVER!). Different days, I'll have a couple of minutes to toss supper on the table, and they'll unroll the tissue in the washroom. One assignment completes while little children are in the following room adding more to the rundown.

Regularly, I dismiss what's most significant, and I wind up accepting my worth is enveloped with what I completed in multi day. In any case, actually, my family isn't a container to verify, and my value doesn't rely upon my rundowns.

This week, in case you're taking a shot at a plan for the day, commending achievements or simply resting to unwind, make one of these Fig + Vanilla Bean Gin Cocktails! This formula joins new figs with smooth, rich vanilla for a mixed drink that crosses over any barrier among summer and fall. It's reviving and consoling all simultaneously. Good wishes!

FIG, VANILLA BEAN + GIN COCKTAIL #drinks #vodka

INGREDIENTS :
Cocktail

  • 1 1/2 ounces gin
  • 1/2 ounce Fig + Vanilla Bean Simple Syrup (recipe below)
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • 2-4 ounces tonic
  • Ice
INSTRUCTION :

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the gin, simple syrup and bitters. Stir well. Strain into a glass with an ice cube and top with tonic to taste. Garnish with a fresh fig slice. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS :
Fig + Vanilla Bean Simple Syrup

  • 6 fresh figs, stems removed and halved
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste (or scrape the seeds from 1 vanilla bean)

INSTRUCTION :

  1. Add all the ingredients to a small saucepan, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cook, stirring frequently, for about 5-7 minutes or until figs break down. Allow to cool, and strain using a fine mesh strainer.
  2. Store in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Yields about 5-6 ounces of syrup (enough for 10-12 cocktails).*

*Note: This syrup doesn't have to be used only for this drink! Add it to iced tea or drizzle on top of pancakes. You can also make a pitcher's worth of the Fig, Vanilla Bean + Gin Cocktail if you want to serve a crowd!
